Midlothian Heritage entered their tilt with Corsicana on Friday with nine consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with ten. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Tigers. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 games by six runs or more this season.

Skeylah Shirley made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Shirley was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Taylor Bilderback, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Rylee Parrish was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Midlothian Heritage hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive matchups.

Midlothian Heritage pushed their record up to 20-7 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Corsicana, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13-1 record this season.

Midlothian Heritage didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-8 victory against Crandall on the 8th. As for Corsicana, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 4-3 win against Kaufman on the 8th.
