Basketball Game Preview: Darlington Falcons vs. Lower Richland Diamond Hornets

The Darlington Falcons will square off against the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Darlington lost to Crestwood at home by a 67-51 margin. The Falcons have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Lower Richland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 56-42 to South Florence. While losing is never fun, the Diamond Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Bruins are ranked 44th).

Darlington's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Lower Richland, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Things could have been worse for Darlington, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 42-28 loss to Lower Richland when the teams last played back in December of 2024.
