Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wood-Ridge). Everything went their way against the Wallington Panthers on Wednesday as they made off with a 14-1 win. The victory was nothing new for the Blue Devils as they're now sitting on three straight.

The team relied heavily on Christopher Castellano, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Jack Caprio was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

The win got Wood-Ridge back to even at 4-4. As for Wallington, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Wood-Ridge didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-2 victory against Cresskill on the 17th. As for Wallington, they will venture away from home to take on Garfield at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Boilermakers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.33 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
