Soccer Game Preview: Trinity Prep vs. Taylor

The Trinity Prep Saints will take on the Taylor Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Trinity Prep fell victim to Geneva and their airtight defense two weeks ago. They lost 4-0 to the Knights. While losing is never fun, the Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while the Knights are ranked 139th).

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Taylor had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged Father Lopez out 3-2 on Friday. The Wildcats' winning goal came courtesy of Hannah Renteria.

This is the second loss in a row for Trinity Prep and nudges their season record down to 4-6-2. As for Taylor, their victory bumped their record up to 4-11.

Trinity Prep beat Taylor 2-0 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Will Trinity Prep repeat their success, or does Taylor have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
