Marian came tearing into Thursday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.2 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Grosse Ile Red Devils. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Marian were the better team in the second half.

Marian pushed their record up to 18-2-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six matches. As for Grosse Ile, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-5-3 record this season.
