Basketball Recap: Ansley/Litchfield Comes Up Short

Ansley/Litchfield lost against Pleasanton back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Ansley/Litchfield Spartans took a 52-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pleasanton Bulldogs.

Despite the loss, Ansley/Litchfield still got an impressive performance from Kerry M Ryan, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 boards. With that strong performance, M Ryan is now averaging an impressive 2.1 blocks per game. Another player making a difference was Addilyne Rohde, who posted eight points.

Pleasanton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kenlie Zwiener led the charge by going 5-for-10 en route to 13 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks. Zwiener continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Tyra Sekutera was another key player, going 5-for-12 on her way to 15 points and five boards.

Ansley/Litchfield's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Pleasanton, their record is now 14-9.

Ansley/Litchfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pleasanton, they have already played their next game, a 41-35 victory against Burwell on the 21st.
