Basketball Game Preview: Accelerate Christian Warriors vs. Sharp Academy Sabers

The Accelerate Christian Warriors will take on the Sharp Academy Sabers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 11 consecutive losses for Accelerate Christian and three for Sharp Academy.

Last Tuesday, Accelerate Christian had to suffer through a 70-32 loss at the hands of Pringle-Morse.

Meanwhile, Sharp Academy played a tough matchup back in December of 2024 in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt an 87-26 defeat at the hands of West Texas T. The Sabers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-15.

Accelerate Christian will have to keep a close watch on Timothy Rodriguez and Michael Boyles, a pair of players who had a big impact on Sharp Academy's prior game. Rodriguez posted eight points in addition to 18 boards and six steals, while Boyles put up nine points. That was a full 34.6% of Sharp Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points.

Sharp Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Accelerate Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
