Central entered their tilt with Starr's Mill on Saturday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lions have posted since September 20th.

Julianna Johnston was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 20 digs and five assists. Those 20 digs gave her a new career-high.

Central was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Starr's Mill only served four.

Despite the loss, Starr's Mill still got an impressive performance from Sophia Olson, who had 16 digs and four assists.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 34-9. As for Starr's Mill, the loss snapped their winning streak at five matches and leaves them with a 27-13 record.

Coming up, Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Northview at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Starr's Mill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
