Basketball Recap: Mentor Christian Comes Up Short

Mentor Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Fuchs Mizrachi Mayhem, falling 57-23. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Mentor Christian this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-34 back in December of 2024.

Mentor Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Fuchs Mizrachi, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mentor Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Westside Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Westside Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.1 points per game this season. As for Fuchs Mizrachi, they will square off against John Hay at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
