Softball Recap: Marksville Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Marksville's offense. They fell just short of the Tioga Indians by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The Tigers have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Marksville's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Tioga, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marksville will face off against Sterlington at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Tioga, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Glenmora at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
