Basketball Game Preview: Everett Seagulls vs. Monroe Bearcats

The Everett Seagulls will face off against the Monroe Bearcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, Everett had to suffer through a 69-23 loss at the hands of Stanwood. While losing is never fun, the Seagulls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Spartans are ranked 62nd).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Monroe, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Marysville-Pilchuck 59-11. The game marked the Bearcats' most dominant win of the season.

Monroe's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Everett, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
