Volleyball Recap: Oakton Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Oakton had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the Charles J. Colgan Sharks by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2018.

Oakton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Julia Lee led the charge by getting 24 assists. Lee has been hot, having posted 20 or more assists the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Carolyn Angelicchio, who had nine digs and one assist.

Oakton's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Charles J. Colgan, they moved to 12-2 with that defeat, which also ended their 11-match winning streak.

Oakton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Georgetown Visitation Prep on the 27th. Charles J. Colgan has also already played their next match (against Bishop Ireton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
