Soccer Game Preview: Elkhorn North vs. Norris

The Elkhorn North Wolves will be taking part in a tournament against the Norris Titans on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Elkhorn North took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They put the hurt on Hastings with a sharp 4-1 win. Elkhorn North might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by three goals or more this season.

Reese Noonan and Meghan Coe scored all four of Elkhorn North's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Meanwhile, Norris entered their tilt with Waverly on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Vikings. That's two games straight that Norris have won by exactly two goals.

Norris' win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those five games. As for Elkhorn North, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
