The Paloma Valley Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Hemet Bulldogs at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Paloma Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

Paloma Valley lost 12-6 to Orange Vista on Thursday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Coyotes recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Abigail Rogers led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Brooklyn Berni was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Hemet's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Liberty by a score of 7-6.

Johanna Stephens and Reina Rocha stepped up to the plate in a big way. Stephens went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Rocha went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

Paloma Valley's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Hemet, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-4.

Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Paloma Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .341. However, it's not like Hemet struggles in that department as they've averaged .449. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Paloma Valley couldn't quite finish off Hemet in their previous meeting back in March of 2023 and fell 7-5. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
