Basketball Recap: Friona's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Friona can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past the Seagraves Eagles 41-15. Given the Chieftans' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 582nd, while the Eagles are ranked 1230th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Friona's win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Seagraves, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

Friona won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Merkel at 9:10 a.m. on Saturday. Seagraves and Wellman-Union will round out the year against one another at at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
