Baseball Recap: Sage Hill Comes Up Short

Sage Hill lost against Irvine back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lightning fell 5-1 to the Vaqueros.

Sage Hill saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justin Glasser, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Sage Hill has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Irvine, they pushed their record up to 12-12 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

While Sage Hill had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
