Baseball Game Preview: Kellogg Wildcats vs. Bonners Ferry Badgers

The Kellogg Wildcats will face off against the Bonners Ferry Badgers at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kellogg has given up an average of 18.6 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Kellogg fell victim to Grangeville and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 28-0 to the Bulldogs. The Wildcats have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Bonners Ferry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 15-14 heartbreaker at the hands of North Central. On the bright side, the 14- run performance marked the Badgers' highest-scoring match to date.

Keenan Maas was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Ronin Hanson was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Kellogg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Bonners Ferry, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
