Glenbard West extended their winning streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Saturday, bumping them up to 5-0. They walked away with a 24-17 victory over the Lyons Lions. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Josiah (Josiah) threw for 90 yards and one touchdown on only eight passes. Jaylen McMiller was his top target, picking up 65 receiving yards and one score.

As for Lyons, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2. They gained 75 more yards on the day, but it was Glenbard West that made the best use of them.

Despite the loss, Lyons still got an impressive performance from Tyler Stamm, who threw for 172 yards and a pair of TDs.

Glenbard West and Lyons should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Hilltoppers will square off against Hinsdale South at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (9 vs. 275). Meanwhile, Lyons (ranked 15th) will meet Proviso West (ranked 355th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
