Softball Game Preview: Opp Bobcats vs. Long Rebels

Opp is 8-2 against Long since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bobcats will challenge the Rebels at 4:30 p.m. Opp will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Opp's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Brantley 10-0.

The team relied heavily on Crislyn Birge, who went 1-for-2 with five stolen bases and three runs. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Cambri Bentley was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one triple.

Enterprise hit Long with a eight-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rebels lost 17-9 to the Wildcats. The defeat continues a trend for the Rebels in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Long's loss dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Opp, their victory bumped their record up to 17-14.

Opp was able to grind out a solid win over Long when the teams last played back in April of 2025, winning 5-0. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rebels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
