Softball Game Preview: Canyon Cowboys vs. Hart Hawks

Canyon is 0-10 against Hart since April of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Cowboys will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hawks at 3:15 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Canyon's win against Castaic wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cowboys' pitcher stepped up to hand the Coyotes a 1-0 shutout on Thursday. The Cowboys haven't had any issues with the Coyotes recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Not much got past Jessica Carr, who gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Castaic off the board.

At the plate, Canyon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooke Phillips, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Highland typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Hart proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with an 11-7 win over the Bulldogs.

The victory got Canyon back to even at 11-11. As for Hart, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-16.
