Basketball Recap: Joseph Lanzone's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Classical Academy over San Diego Jewish Academy

Classical Academy lost against San Diego Jewish Academy back in January of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Classical Academy Caimans fell just short of the San Diego Jewish Academy Lions by a score of 50-48.

Classical Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joseph Lanzone, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Issac Chapman, who scored 13 points.

San Diego Jewish Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jack Silberstein out in front who had 20 points. Another player making a difference was Adam Tal, who put up nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Classical Academy's record is now 9-15. As for San Diego Jewish Academy, their record is now 9-14.

Classical Academy has already played their next match, a 58-32 loss against Pacific Ridge on the 14th. San Diego Jewish Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
