Baseball Game Preview: Lincoln Hornets vs. High Tech SD Storm

For the second straight game, Lincoln will face off against High Tech SD. The Hornets will venture away from home to face off against the Storm at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, it was close, but Lincoln sidestepped High Tech SD for a 3-1 victory. That's two games straight that the Hornets have won by exactly two runs.

Julio Ojeda was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sebastian Sosa, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Jesus Padilla, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Lincoln pushed their record up to 11-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.
