Football Recap: Kimball Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After soaring to 34 points the game before, Kimball was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They had to suffer through a 48-3 loss at the hands of the Lincoln Trojans. The game marked the Jaguars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Kimball didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dawson Pelech and Ashton Mainarick. Pelech is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least nine every time he's taken the field this season.

Julian Perez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lincoln, throwing for 228 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 72 yards and one score. Those 72 rushing yards gave Perez a new career-high. Taylor Orn was another key player, picking up 111 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Kimball's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3. As for Lincoln, the victory also got them back to even at 3-3.

Kimball wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 70-8 defeat against St. Mary's on the 10th. As for Lincoln, they have also already played their next game, a 19-14 loss against Edison on the 10th.
