After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Safford, San Tan Foothills was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 12-1 margin over the Miami Vandals. The win was some much needed relief for the Sabercats as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Joseph Lorona made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Lorona is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's stole at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
