Football Game Preview: Danville Warriors vs. Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter Raiders + How To Watch

Two dominant s in Bryce Eagen and Key'Mareawn McCullough are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Danville Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Danville, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Danville didn't have too much breathing room in their game against McCutcheon, but they still walked away with a 29-23 victory.

Danville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carter Ward, who rushed for 76 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 114 yards and one TD while completing 80% of his passes. Those 76 rushing yards gave Ward a new career-high. Another back making a difference was Daiton Hood, who rushed for 191 yards while picking up 10.1 yards per carry.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Danville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 325 rushing yards. They are 3-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 38 points the game before, Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They took a 12-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Indianapolis Scecina Memorial. The defeat continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Crusaders: they've now lost five in a row.

Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Danville, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Danville has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 205.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 163.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
