Baseball Game Preview: Tabor Academy Seawolves vs. Rivers Red Wings

The Tabor Academy Seawolves are taking a road trip to take on the Rivers Red Wings at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Tabor Academy couldn't beat Noble & Greenough on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Seawolves might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-7 to the Bulldogs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rivers). They were the clear victors by a 16-5 margin over St. George's on Saturday. The Red Wings have beaten the Dragons the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Dragons has come to flipping the script.

Rivers picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-10. As for Tabor Academy, the defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 6-5.

Tabor Academy beat Rivers 8-4 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Seawolves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
