Softball Game Preview: Mountain View Vikings vs. Arroyo Knights

Mountain View hasn't had much luck against Arroyo recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Mountain View will take on Arroyo at 3:30 p.m. Mountain View will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

If Mountain View beats Arroyo with 18 runs on Wednesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Mountain View beat Rosemead on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 18-1. Considering the Vikings have won four matchups by more than ten runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Arroyo came up short against El Monte on Friday and fell 7-4.

Mountain View's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Arroyo, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6-1.

Mountain View might still be hurting after the 23-9 loss they got from Arroyo in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Mountain View avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
