Football Game Preview: White County Warriors vs. Macon County Tigers

The White County Warriors will face off against the Macon County Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with White County sitting on four straight victories and Macon County on 16 (dating back to last season).

While White County's win against Livingston Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Wildcats 14-13. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Warriors were the better team in the second half.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead White County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cole Sims, who rushed for 146 yards and one TD. Sims' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 133 rushing yards.

Meanwhile, while Macon County put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for DeKalb County. Macon County took their matchup with ease, bagging a 42-0 victory over DeKalb County. The result was nothing new for Macon County, who have now won four contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Macon County's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for White County, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

White County lost to Macon County at home by a decisive 35-19 margin when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
