Basketball Recap: Carbondale Takes a Loss

Carbondale suffered their closest defeat since December 21, 2023 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Pinckneyville Panthers by a score of 57-55. The Terriers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Carbondale has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season. As for Pinckneyville, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Carbondale will face off against Nashville at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Nashville will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Carbondale surely won't give up without a fight. Pinckneyville has already played their next match (against DuQuoin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
