After flying high against Tinley Park on Saturday, St. Laurence came back down to earth. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Wheaton Academy Warriors who were credited with the victory on Sunday. The Wheaton Academy Warriors got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the St. Laurence Vikings' four. St. Laurence's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

St. Laurence's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4-2. As for Wheaton Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2-3 record this season.

St. Laurence and Wheaton Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Vikings will challenge Reavis at 4:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (106 vs. 292). Meanwhile, Wheaton Academy (ranked 109th) will meet Chicago Christian (ranked 409th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Wheaton Academy's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Chicago Christian have been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.
