Baseball Game Preview: Kennedy Cougars vs. West Park Panthers

Kennedy is 0-3 against West Park since April of 2025 but things could change on Wednesday. The Cougars will be playing at home against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m.

On Monday, Kennedy came up short against West Campus and fell 7-4.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but West Park ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over Franklin. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won four contests in a row.

Parker Mitchell looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ayden Deome, who went 2-for-3 with one triple. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Nick Pajcin, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

West Park kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Franklin only managed four.

West Park's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Kennedy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
