Basketball Recap: Lafayette Central Catholic Takes a Loss

Lafayette Central Catholic lost against McCutcheon back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Knights took a 57-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mavericks.

When it comes to explaining why Lafayette Central Catholic lost, don't look at Mikey Stapleton. Despite the final result, he posted 19 points and six boards. Stapleton's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Calvin Reisman, who earned five points.

Lafayette Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for McCutcheon, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Lafayette Central Catholic will be taking part in a tournament against Rensselaer Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for McCutcheon, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kokomo at 7:30 p.m. on the 12th.
