Basketball Recap: Klondike Comes Up Short

If Klondike was riding high fresh off their 69-23 takedown of Loop last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Klondike Cougars took a blow against the Borden County Coyotes on Friday, falling 72-36. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Coyotes: they've now lost seven in a row.

Klondike's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Borden County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

Klondike and Borden County should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Klondike (ranked 674th) will meet Dawson (ranked 1386th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Borden County will challenge Grady at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 738 places (216 vs. 954).
