Basketball Game Preview: Park Hill Trojans vs. North Kansas City Hornets

The Park Hill Trojans are taking a road trip to challenge the North Kansas City Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Park Hill is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.

Last Tuesday, Park Hill earned a 60-50 victory over Fort Osage. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Indians are ranked 259th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for North Kansas City, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against Liberty on Tuesday as North Kansas City made off with a 75-51 win. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 21 points or more this season.

North Kansas City's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Park Hill, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.

Park Hill ended up a good deal behind North Kansas City in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, losing 76-60. Can Park Hill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
