Recap: Hempstead Bobcats vs. Boling Bulldogs
The Hempstead Bobcats suffered their closest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They fell just short of Boling by a score of 64-61. Hempstead has struggled against Boling recently, as their match on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Hempstead lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dontae Houston, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Houston has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamari Idlebird, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Hempstead bumped their record down to 13-12 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Boling, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Hempstead will head out on the road to challenge East Bernard at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Boling, they will be playing at home against Hitchcock at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Hitchcock is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.
