Volleyball Recap: Wooster Takes a Loss

Wooster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Spring Creek Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Colts of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2022.

Wooster started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-15, 25-13, 25-14.

London Lee paced Wooster's offense, picking up four kills. Lee were helped by Sophie Davis-Brito and Silvia Beaujour, who contributed two assists each. Lee was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Wooster now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Spring Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season.

Wooster wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Elko on the 13th. Spring Creek has also already played their next contest (against Sparks), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
