Softball Recap: Dexter Demons vs. Jal Panthers
Dexter put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Monday. Everything went their way against the Jal Panthers as they made off with a 10-0 victory. The Demons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by ten runs or more this season.
Danyela Munoz made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.
In other batting news, Dexter let Jayda Flores and Hannah Sanders run wild. Flores went a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI, while Sanders went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three runs gave Flores a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayci Sanders, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI.
