Basketball Recap: Bonneville Comes Up Short

Bonneville lost against Bountiful back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bonneville Lakers were outmatched by the Bountiful RedHawks and fell 89-27. The game marked the Lakers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Baya Jimenez was Bonneville's leading scorer, having posted 12 points. Stacey Tesch took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with four assists.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bountiful to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taylor Harvey, who went 9 for 12 en route to 22 points and five boards. Milika Satuala was another key player, going 7 of 10 on her way to 14 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.

Bonneville's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Bountiful, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.

Bonneville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-44 victory against Box Elder on the 15th. As for Bountiful, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 46-35 win against Clearfield on the 15th.
