Football Recap: Seffner Christian Comes Up Short

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 38-7, which was the final score in the Seffner Christian Crusaders's tilt against the Citrus Hurricanes on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 258th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 92nd).

Brooke Knox threw for 52 yards on five of ten attempts. Morgyn Jackson was her top target, picking up 45 receiving yards. On the ground, Addy Ross rushed for 26 yards and one TD.

This is the second loss in a row for Seffner Christian and nudges their season record down to 4-9. As for Citrus, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Seffner Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 27-7 win against Carrollwood Day on the 8th. As for Citrus, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 7-0 loss against Weeki Wachee on the 8th.
