Trinity Prep entered their tilt with Rio Lindo Adventist on Thursday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Spartans. The game was the first time the Crusaders have beaten the Spartans on their court since October 15, 2016.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Trinity Prep who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 23-25, 15-11.

Trinity Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tabitha Gunning led the charge by getting six digs and five aces. What's more, Gunning posted four kills, the most she's had since back in September. Michele Nolasco was another key player, getting 13 digs and two aces.

Trinity Prep's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Rio Lindo Adventist, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.

Looking ahead, Trinity Prep will head out to take on Tomales at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rio Lindo Adventist does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
