Softball Recap: Tenafly Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Tenafly had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Kennedy Knights as Tenafly made off with an 18-2 win. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 19-15 victory the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Tenafly got a massive performance out of Yuri Song, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Emily Hobaichan was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 1-for-3.

Looking ahead, Tenafly will welcome Cliffside Park at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Kennedy, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Wayne Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
