San Fernando better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Hamilton's game two weeks ago is any indication, that's when Hamilton really gets things going. The Yankees' defense stepped up to hand Smidt Tech a 4-0 shutout. Considering Hamilton's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, San Fernando fell victim to Royal and their airtight defense last Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Highlanders.

San Fernando has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Hamilton, they now have a winning record of 8-7-1.
