Soccer Recap: Newaygo Comes Up Short

Newaygo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Grant Tigers. Surprisingly, this marked Newaygo's fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Newaygo's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Grant, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6-1.

Newaygo has already played their next game, a 4-0 loss against Fremont on the 3rd. Hopefully Grant paid attention to the Lions' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
