The biggest upset of the week belonged to Oak Harbor, who took down 206th ranked Oak Harbor, 68-21.
Perkins extended the longest winning streak in Sandusky Bay this week by beating Port Clinton, 46-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Perkins' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brandon Smith threw for 249 and four touchdowns and Austin Sparks had 81 yards receiving. On the ground Mitch Benkey chipped in 57 yards. David Doster helped Perkins' passing attack out by catching four balls for 71 yards.
Perkins' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Pirates feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Smith has thrown for 970 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Dale Irby has 22 catches for 308 yards. Benkey leads the league in rushing with 747 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Margaretta takes on Jason Ziegler's team. The Polar Bears are currently in seventh, while the Pirates are in first.
Clyde moved up to 185 from 229 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Sandusky Bay. The Fliers climbed the ranks as a result of besting the Rockets 68-21.
