Basketball Recap: Dresden Comes Up Short

If Dresden was riding high fresh off their 55-9 takedown of South Fulton last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dresden Lions had to suffer through an 84-53 loss at the hands of the Westview Chargers. The Lions have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Westview had a senior duo take command as Alexis Evans posted 26 points and Mccall Sims scored 19 points. The dominant performance gave Evans a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Maddie Gray, who put up ten points.

Dresden's loss dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Westview, the win was the 19th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-1.

Dresden does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westview, they have already played their next matchup, a 52-23 victory against Ripley on the 21st.
