Pioneer came tearing into Thursday's matchup with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Prospect Panthers. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2022.

Pioneer walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-11, 25-16.

Leading Pioneer to victory were Ella Rhyasen and Madeline Carley. Rhyasen had 56 assists and five digs, while Carley had 15 digs and two aces. Those 56 assists gave Rhyasen a new career-high.

Pioneer's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Prospect, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Pioneer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Gilroy on the 7th. As for Prospect, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Yerba Buena on the 7th.
