Baseball Recap: Lawson Comes Up Short

After a string of three wins, Lawson's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Ravenwood Raptors by a score of 6-4.

Jack Gwin was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Henry Ruben also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Lawson's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Ravenwood, their win bumped their record up to 11-3-1.

Looking ahead, Lawson will head out to face off against McGavock at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ravenwood, they will be playing at home against Summit at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Summit's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Ravenwood's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
