Recap: St. James Saints vs. Hedgesville Eagles
This season hasn't been kind to the St. James Saints, who are still winless after their fourth game. They lost to Hedgesville at home by a decisive 47-32 margin on Tuesday. St. James was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hedgesville apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.
Hedgesville found their leader in underclassman Gracie Brown, who dropped a triple-double on 19 points, 19 rebounds, and 10 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least 25% of Hedgesville's points. Kaylee Sinclair was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 3 steals.
St. James' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Hedgesville, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
St. James will be playing in front of their home fans against Oakcrest at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hedgesville, they will head out on the road to face off against King Abdullah Academy on Tuesday.
