Preview: Bethany Bronchos vs. Elk City Elks
The Bethany Bronchos will head out on the road to challenge the Elk City Elks at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Bethany is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Elk City in Oklahoma (Bethany is ranked 63rd, while Elk City is ranked 306th).
Even though Casady scored an imposing 60 points on Tuesday, Bethany still came out on top. Bethany walked away with a 70-60 win over Casady.
Meanwhile, Elk City's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. Their rough 50-26 defeat to Sulphur might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Elk City has suffered since January 2nd.
Bethany's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Elk City, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-13.
Bethany was able to grind out a solid win over Elk City in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 60-49. Does Bethany have another victory up their sleeve, or will Elk City turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
