Basketball Game Preview: Northridge Knights vs. Box Elder Bees

Northridge is on a six-game streak of home losses, Box Elder a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Wednesday. The Northridge Knights will welcome the Box Elder Bees at 5:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Northridge is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Bountiful on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Northridge lost 63-40 to Bountiful. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 74th, while the RedHawks are ranked 14th).

Meanwhile, Box Elder came up short against Viewmont on Friday, falling 59-39.

Northridge will need focus on slowing down Emma Nelson, one of several Box Elder players who made an impact when they last played. She posted five points. Another player making a difference was Izi Mason, who earned five points.

Northridge's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Box Elder, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-18.

Northridge didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Box Elder in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 40-35 victory. Will Northridge repeat their success, or does Box Elder have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
